We are a small grant-making charity. We were set up to give grants to help small groups and organisations to flourish.

We admire these smaller groups for their passion and determination to make a difference and by providing some funding, we help these groups become sustainable or expand their work.

All the charitable fundraising from that Experian staff in house is donated to the Heart of Experian Charity Fund. Every quarter its Trustees meet to look at the applications received from small organisations throughout the UK.

Please help us in our work to support local charitable organisations:

Some of our grant criteria

We are currently undergoing some exciting changes as a fund. Unfortunately this means we cannot accept any further applications at this time. Check back for more information in early April 2019.

Schools, local charities and community groups

You must be a school, charity or community group, and not a national charity. Your project must make your group, or a particular project, more sustainable

The project for which you are applying for funds should benefit the community as a whole and not support individuals

We are particularly interested in projects whose aims relate to financial inclusion, financial education, entrepreneurship or developing skills useful in business

You can view our full grant criteria on our Grant Criteria page

Mansfield Scout Group had lost most of their funding and were looking at new ways to keep the group going.

They decided to rent their building out to other community groups to raise money, but the toilet facilities were so poor they were unable to do this.

A donation of £1,000 would buy them new toilet facilities, allowing them to rent out the hut and become self-sufficient with the money raised.
